Gratitude and the Law of Attraction

Gratitude and the Law of Attraction

purchased - gratitude 934x513 cGratitude—in my last blog, I mentioned that creating a mindset of gratitude is not something that comes naturally for most people. It’s something that is learned and practiced daily.

Gratitude or appreciation of what we already have is necessary to attract the things we want. Every day when you wake up, practice the concept of being thankful. Just like brushing your teeth every morning, set aside just a moment to consider the things that make you smile—right then—right there. If you’re keeping note of these things daily, like I highly recommend you do, you begin to create a habit.

Think about the good things in your life you should be thankful for if things were different or could change. For instance, you could appreciate your job (even if you don’t like it).  Feel gratitude for a place to live. If you have some food, some friends or anything else you can find to appreciate–appreciate them.

You could even stretch your brain just a bit more and consider why you are grateful for those things or people. A lot of people don’t have enough of the basic things like food, water and their own place to live. Its natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.

So, begin by writing down something like this: “I am so happy and grateful that/for……” and then let the words find their way to the paper.

It’s important that you use the present tense while writing. Visualize the things you want be grateful for them right now. Do you wish for certain things to occur in your life? Then after visualizing them, say the words as they that occurrence is happening right now. You see, your brain doesn’t know if it’s real, a dream, or a thought. So trust the impact this will make further down the road!

Be specific with what you are thankful for. This is a lesson that we all need to learn because we can get so caught up in our “generalized worlds” that we forget to stretch our brains for specific ideas, words, goals, actions and so on. S-t-e-t-c-h your brain and it will perform better for you daily.

When you start doing as described above, at first you might feel strange that you are using present tense for the things you want to have in the future, but its important to train your mind and force your mind to think about them in present tense. After some time of playing such mental ping pong your mind will obey and will help you to achieve the things you want.
