What Others Are Saying . . .

[testimonial3 author=”Robin Anderson, Rock Mount, VA” + pic=”https://onedegreeforward.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sunflower8.jpg”]When we were first referred to Mrs. Cathy Dick at One Degree Forward, my first question was, “Is she a doctor?”  If the answer had been yes I think I would have refused.  Instead the answer was like a breath of fresh air.  It went something like this – No, she is not a doctor, she’s even better.  She has lived it.  She has personal experience in her own family and she has experience working with children very similar to your own.  My first thought was, FINALLY! Finally someone who will understand!  It was an answer to prayer.

Since that time I have worked closely with Mrs. Dick and have come to know her as the one person who has actually helped in dealing with the challenges of ADD/ADHD.  Not only did she take the time to get to know our son, she taught us the most valuable lesson ever – howhe could learn best.  This is knowledge we will use for the rest of our lives!  She provided encouragement when none was coming from the doctors or teachers.  She provided ideas of how to approach specific situations and these ideas actually work!  When no one seemed to understand, she provided that as well.

The knowledge she has in dealing with the school system is remarkable.  I didn’t know how or where to start.  I didn’t know what to expect or how much to expect.  She answered all of my questions plus those I did not even know to ask.  Without her help we would still be wondering.  We have now started working with the teachers and have a plan coming together for improvement for our son.  This is a huge celebration!

Mrs. Dick is a blessing.  She has provided more help in the short time we have worked together than any of the previously attempted avenues, and there have been many.  One degree forward at a time, this is what I keep stressing to myself as well as the other key players on this journey.  Working together, we can continue to move one degree forward.[/testimonial3]

She has helped me put into practice a mind-set to be something that you wish to accomplish by the end of the day, focus on that, and make sure you do things in terms of preparing yourself mentally and physically before you start.[/testimonial3]
